The One Health Commission (OHC) Board of Directors (USA) met on February 27-28, 2014 in a working retreat funded and hosted by OHC Institutional member, the Georgia Aquarium. The Board reviewed and updated the OHC Mission and Vision statement.
One Health Commission Display Table at Veterinary Student Day at CDC, Led by Cheryl Stroud, Executive Director, Joann Lindenmayer, AVMA representative to the OHC Board, Jim Hughes, IDSA representative to the OHC Board in Atlanta, Georgia. This activity led to the development of a One Health List Serve for the Commission to connect students across the nation.
The One Health Commission has relocated its headquarters to North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park where it will continue to “enhance interdisciplinary collaborations among all health arenas.”
Cheryl Stroud DVM, PhD, former Chair of the North Carolina One Health Collaborative and previous American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) representative to the One Health Commission, was named Executive Director of the One Health Commission (OHC) in late 2013. The Commission’s operations headquarters, previously located at Iowa State University since early 2011, has relocated to the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina.
