The mountain chicken frog became critically endangered following the incursion of the amphibian disease chytridiomycosis, which caused an 85% decline on it endemic island of Dominica and near extinction on the neighbouring island of Montserrat. Our speakers will present the research of the Mountain Chicken Recovery Programme, a world-leading consortium featuring ZSL scientists, that aims to understand how to mitigate the disease's impacts and prevent further extinctions.
