Description: We are very excited to be able to offer a National Antimicrobial Resistance Forum to be held on Friday 3 November 2017 with workshops on Thursday 2 November at the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) Centre of the University of Queensland, Level 4, 20 Cornwall Street, Woolloongabba, Brisbane.
As part of the National Antimicrobial Resistance Forum, we will also be offering a series of workshops at the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) Centre of the University of Queensland. For more information about the workshops see the attached flyers. Spaces are limited for the workshop so register early.

One Health Approach to Global Health Security in Today’s Interconnected World

Description: Griffith University is planning to organise the second annual One Health Day seminar titled “One Health Approach to Global Health Security in Today’s Interconnected World” in Nathan Campus, Brisbane, Australia on November 3, 2017. The purpose of the seminar is to facilitate a shared understanding of the transdisciplinary synergies and professional networking among researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and advocates of One Health approach to address the growing threat to national, regional and global health security. The seminar will focus on three broad areas: Global Health Security, Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases, and One Health Approach: Challenges and Opportunities. It is expected that 50-70 researchers, decision-makers, health professionals and experts will attend from Queensland and from several neighbouring countries in the Asia-Pacific Region.

One Health Communication Tool student presentations

Description: Undergraduate students enrolled in the One Health unit have created communication tools to increase awareness about a variety of One Health topics, including antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic diseases and ecotoxicology. On November 3rd, a conference style presentation session has been organised. Each student group will present their communication tool, who the target audience is, why they chose their particular tool and expected outcomes, for example increased awareness or reduction of the disease in the target group.
